Ganesh festival is one of the best festival of maharashtra. Many people goes to Pune and Mumbai to see the festival, big decoration and colourful lights are the main attraction of Pune and Bombay.But Karad have a separate entity about the Ganesh Festival. The group of youngsters called Ganesh Mandal hold the Ganesh Ustav. There are nearby 250 Ganesh Mandals in Karad.In these days the roads become colourful with the lightings & joyful with the crowd.

In Ganesh Festival all mandals are decorate the whole Lane. Every mandal Put some decoration & try to be the best in the city & try to catch the mximum crowd, it's called as "Dekhava". In Dekahava, any story based on mythology, history, or common affair. This Dekhava includes the background music, Lights. 

Karad's  Ganesh Ustav have many sides, some do it except group, decorate it's called as " Swatantra Ganesh Mandal".Many ganesh Mandals have cancelled the decoration and extra expenses and decided to help the nation. It is one of the best decision in social views.all ganesh Mandals are now a days organizing cultural activities also during the ganesh Festival.
