Two Days Workshop at GCOE

“Technique and skill are the keys to success for anyone who wants to influence others by his persona and carve a niche for himself”- Prof. G.V. Kulkarni, Head of the English Department, Y.C. College of Science, Karad was addressing the students of Mechanical Engineering of Government College Of Engineering, Karad, where he recently conducted a two – day workshop for the Mechanical Engineering Students Association (MESA).

On 12.10.2001, he delivered a lecture on “Psychology of Winning” and cited several lucid and unique examples from literature and practical life. “There are ten basic qualities of a total winner – positive self expectancy, self motivation, self control, self discipline, self esteem, self dimension, self awareness, self projection. Winners are those who blend atleast six of these traits with their technique and skill”, he explained.

On the second day of the workshop, he talked about “Enriching your competence in interviews and interview techniques”. By interacting with the students, he proved where most candidates go wrong in their interviews. Further, he emphasized that “Success in interviews is nothing but posing a positive attitude and skilful presentation of your knowledge”.

The two - day workshop proved to be immensely beneficial to the students, which was evident from the overwhelming response and positive feedback of the students. 

The Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. P.M. Khodke, Staff coordinator of MESA, Prof. V.S. Jadhav and the Training and Placements Officer, Prof. S.S. Mohite and others, organized this workshop. Mr. Mithun Deshpande and Sameer Suryawanshi coordinated the programme.
