Gajar No Halvo(Carrot pudding)
250g carrots ( preferably red carrotes, not orange), 500ml milk, 1table spoon(15 g ) sugar,10ml Ghee, 1 tbsp (15g) raisins, 1 green cardamom, powerdered 5 almonds, sliced fine 5 cashewnuts, sliced fine Grate the carrots and cook in milk.When the milk is absorbed, add sugar and cook till almost dry.Add ghee and raisins and keep stiring the carrots for 15 minutes or till the mixture is dry and turns reddish-brown.Remove from heat.Serve hot, garnished with cardamom powder, almonds and cashewnuts. |
